Fil's Story
Fil Santiago has dedicated nearly three decades to the K-12 education sector, taking on various pivotal roles including educator, technology integration specialist, Distance Learning Coordinator, Director of the Essex County Educational Technology Training Center (ETTC), and, for the past 15 years, Director of Technology and Administrative Services.
His extensive career has provided him with a wealth of experience in curriculum and instructional design, professional development programs, district operations and strategic planning, school safety, and data privacy/cybersecurity.
As Director of Technology and Administrative Services, Fil is responsible for steering IT strategy development, driving digital transformation initiatives, implementing robust school safety protocols, and ensuring comprehensive cybersecurity and data privacy compliance.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Fil is passionately committed to fostering the next generation of tech professionals. He is an active participant in industry conferences and knowledge-sharing platforms, advocating for the importance of continuous learning and staying ahead of emerging trends and technologies.
